Blackburn Bristol City prediction 2022-09-03

Blackburn vs Bristol City prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2022-09-02 14:00.
It’s been a season of two halves already for Blackburn Rovers, who seemed to spoil their grand opening of winning their first three Championship games by losing the proceeding three without scoring. Manager Jon Dahl Tomasson and his troops did get back to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Blackpool last round, but fans will be expecting another all-or-nothing affair here, considering none of Blackburn’s last 14 matches have been drawn (W8, D6).

The Ewood Park faithful will try to spur their side to a more consistent winning routine, after seeing them victorious in only two of their last six home league matches (D1, L3). Rovers will need to find their scoring boots if they’re to answer the call when a confident Bristol City come knocking, as they’ve failed to win any of the last four H2Hs, scoring only once (D2, L2).

Bristol have made their own recovery after losing their first two games of the season, turning their fortunes around and going unbeaten in the seven games since (W5, D2). The side from the West Country look like a well-oiled machine at the moment, but manager Nigel Pearson thinks he can get more out of his squad, saying “we deserved to win but could have seen the game out better”, when speaking after Wednesday’s 2-0 success over Huddersfield.

That’s a scary proposition for anyone preparing to face the Robins, who’s one area of improvement would be their away form, after winning only three of their last 20 Championship matches on the road (D4, L13). The first of those was in this fixture last season, and they’ll now seek back-to-back away league wins at Blackburn for the first time ever.

Players to watch: Blackburn’s Tyrhys Dolan will be looking to get off the mark this Championship campaign, having scored his last six goals at home. Bristol’s Andreas Weimann has netted his side’s opener in five of his last six goalscoring appearances. Both were responsible for their side’s last goal in last season’s H2Hs.

Hot stat: Ten of Bristol’s last 13 matches have seen the half-time result replicated come full-time.
