Millwall QPR prediction 2022-09-14

Millwall vs QPR prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2022-09-13 18:45.
Manager Gary Rowett insists his Millwall side can cope with their injury crisis, as they go in search of back-to-back wins for the first time in six months. Captain Shaun Hutchinson and duo Ryan Leonard and Mason Bennett are all sidelined for this East vs West London affair, but Rowett says it’s “no problem” finding players who can “slot in” to his 3-5-2 formation.

Whoever Rowett does select to plug those holes has big shoes to fill after the Lions beat Cardiff 2-0 in their last outing, ending a run of over five hours without a goal in the process. Indeed, The Den has been a happy hunting ground for the club this season, with Millwall picking up nine of their ten points on home soil (W3, L1), and have in fact suffered just four defeats in their last 25 home league outings (W16, D5).

Millwall take on a QPR side who manager Michael Beale admits are “still fighting for some consistency” after losing 1-0 at Swansea in their last match to end a three-game unbeaten run (W2, D1). Defeat in South Wales extended a worrying away record to three victories in 14 league fixtures away from Loftus Road (D2, L9), raising doubts over whether QPR can get back on track here!

Rangers fans can, however, take confidence from the fact they have not lost consecutive fixtures yet this season. The R’s also enjoy facing Millwall, against whom they have lost just three of their last 22 meetings (W8, D11), although a tight affair may be expected, given QPR have drawn more Championship fixtures (10) against Millwall than any other side.

Key battle: Millwall goalkeeper Bartosz Białkowski has managed only two wins in 11 meetings with QPR (D3, L6), although each of his three clean sheets have come in home games. Meanwhile QPR top scorer Chris Willock has scored in four of his five appearances this season, all of which arrived in the first half.

Hot stat: The home side on the day has scored exactly twice in four of Millwall’s last five Championship games.
