Stuttgart Eintracht Frankfurt prediction 2022-09-17

Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2022-09-16 13:30.
Stuttgart might be one of only two Bundesliga sides yet to claim a league victory this season, but they’ve lost just once (D5), with their 2-2 draw at reigning champions Bayern Munich making it three league games unbeaten (D3). Their never-say-die attitude is winning plenty of plaudits as their equaliser against Bayern came in injury-time from the penalty spot.

If they keep performing to that level a first league win can’t be too far away, which would please newly installed club executives and former Stuttgart players, Sami Khedira and Philipp Lahm. However, they’ve only won one of their last six home league fixtures (D3, L2) so fans heading to the Mercedes-Benz Arena might not be expecting much, especially as they haven’t won any of the last three H2Hs here (D1, L2).

All three of those games produced two first-half goals, which might encourage Eintracht Frankfurt, as their last Bundesliga win (W 4-0 v RB Leipzig) came after they led 2-0 at the break. They beat Marseille 1-0 in midweek to claim their first ever UEFA Champions League victory, an excellent response to going down by the same scoreline to Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga last weekend.

On a three-match unbeaten run away from home in the Bundesliga (W1, D2), those games each saw scoring within the first ten minutes so a lively start can’t be discounted. If there is any early action, Frankfurt fans will be happier if their side is on top as they’ve only lost one Bundesliga away game after scoring first since the start of last season (W5, D3, L1).

Players to watch: Chris Führich has netted Stuttgart’s opener with four of his last five league goals, including in each of their last two fixtures. Meanwhile, Frankfurt’s Jesper Lindstrøm has contributed first-half strikes to their previous two away games.

Hot stat: Just one of the last 13 H2Hs witnessed a goalless second half.
