West Ham Wolves prediction 2022-10-01

West Ham vs Wolves prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2022-09-30 16:30.
After consecutive top seven Premier League (PL) finishes, things have not been so rosy for West Ham United this term, winning just once and starting the round inside the relegation zone (D1, L5). Manager David Moyes finds himself under pressure and he admitted after the 1-0 loss to Everton in the last round that he was ‘let down’ by some of his first-team regulars.

The Hammers’ struggles have been particularly prevalent at the London Stadium where they’ve picked up one point from their opening three home league games, handing them the unwanted title of being the worst home PL team so far this season. Their return of three league goals is also the joint-worst across the breadth of the English Football League, highlighting the struggles facing Moyes.

It has been a similarly miserable start to the season for Wolves, who sit just two points ahead of West Ham, perched precariously above the bottom three. Bruno Lage’s men also have problems in front of goal, netting just three league goals, of which only one came on the road. League form has been an issue for a while too as they’ve won just one of their last 14 matches, a run that stretches back to early April (D5, L8).

Wolves will be without Nathan Collins for this clash after his red card against Manchester City, leaving them short of numbers at the back. Combine that with their sketchy recent H2H record that has seen them lose three of the last four meetings (W1), conceding eight goals in the process, then it’s fair to say there might be very little optimism in the away side’s camp.

Players to watch: West Ham winger Maxwel Cornet has been on the winning side in all of his four competitive starts this season, picking up three assists in the process. With RaĂșl JimĂ©nez out injured, Wolves will be looking to Diego Costa to find the back of the net, something he’s already managed three times against the Hammers.

Hot stat: All of Wolves’ PL goals this term have been scored by a Portuguese player.
