Getafe Valladolid prediction 2022-10-01

Getafe vs Valladolid prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2022-09-30 14:15.
After suffering a winless start to the campaign (D1, L3), Getafe will feel like the international break came at the wrong time as they put together successive La Liga (LL) victories just prior, and are now bidding to win three straight LL games for the first time since February 2020. Real Valladolid have often proven to be a tough opponent for them to overcome though, and the hosts come into this clash having won just one of the previous nine LL H2Hs (D4, L4).

Getafe were still without a single point at this stage of last campaign, so bettering last season’s 15th-place finish should be a realistic aim. Yet that’ll be hard if the Azulones can’t maintain the attacking form they showed in their two most recent matches. Scoring goals at home has been a problem in particular, and they drew a blank in each of their last five LL contests on their own turf (D4, L1) prior to the win against Real Sociedad.

Valladolid have managed just one clean sheet all season (W1, D1, L4) and are suffering from problems of their own in front of goal. Only two sides have scored fewer goals than their total of three so far, which is a worry that’ll only be enhanced by the fact the visitors have also failed to score in three of their last four competitive visits to this venue (W1, D1, L2).

Having got Valladolid promoted back to LL at the first attempt, there shouldn’t be too much pressure on manager Pacheta at this stage, despite his side starting the round inside the bottom three. However he’ll surely be keen to pick up three points here and end a rotten top-flight away run of 13 straight winless matches for Valladolid. Perhaps in search of inspiration, he’ll lean on the fact that their last LL away victory came against none other than Getafe back in January 2021 (1-0)!

Players to watch: Key man Enes Ünal has directly contributed to three of Getafe’s last four LL goals, while all Valladolid eyes will be on Shon Weissman as he’s scored the winning goal in the last two H2Hs.

Hot stat: It’s often a fiery affair when Getafe are involved, with their last five LL matches producing five combined red cards.
