Dnipro-1 Vaduz prediction 2022-10-06

Dnipro-1 vs Vaduz prediction: EUROPE: Europa Conference League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2022-10-05 16:45.
Two of the nine UEFA group stage debutants in the 2022/23 Europa Conference League (UECL) meet for the first time as Dnipro-1 become the first Ukrainian club to take on a team from Liechtenstein. The home side are approaching this match in stellar form, with their first ever European victory – a 3-1 triumph at Cypriot side Apollon Limassol – sandwiched between two commanding 3-0 Ukraine Premier League (UPL) wins to continue their perfect league season (W4).

The next step in their journey is to secure a first win at their temporary UECL home of KoŔice in Slovakia after a 0-1 loss to AZ Alkmaar last round, an admirable effort considering the gulf in wealth, off-field stability and UEFA experience between the two clubs. With four consecutive UPL clean sheets accompanying only two goals conceded in their UECL group stage so far, it comes as no surprise that their average winning margin across all 2022/23 competitions is an impressive 2.6 goals.

Liechtensteinā€™s Vaduz made their way into their inaugural UEFA group stage through three qualifying ties following their 48th Liechtenstein Cup title, but their 2022/23 sojourn has otherwise been bitterly disappointing. Two Liechtenstein Cup match victories (by a combined 26 goal margin) have been their only wins from eight competitive outings (D3, L3), which has them hovering near relegation from the Swiss Challenge League just two seasons after they dropped down into it from the Swiss Super League.

Their three UECL qualifying wins this season all came away from home, so perhaps Alessandro Mangiarrattiā€™s side will be feeling confident of securing their maiden group stage win (D1, L1), particularly when their ā€˜hostsā€™ have no home soil advantage. Vaduz have lost all four of their previous UEFA fixtures against Ukrainian opposition, however, including two 0-1 results against the now defunct FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the 2000s so they could face a tough task here.

Players to watch: Dnipro-1 forward Artem Dovbyk is in imperious form, making the scoresheet in his last four wins for club or country. Nobody can take away Anthony Goelzerā€™s title as Vaduzā€™s first group stage goalscorer, but with the defender finding the back of the net just three times in 62 professional starts, he might be unlikely to grab a second.

Hot streak: All eight of Dnipro-1ā€™s 2022/23 fixtures in all competitions have seen the losing side fail to score before half-time.
