Wolfsburg B. Monchengladbach prediction 2022-10-15

Wolfsburg vs B. Monchengladbach prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2022-10-14 13:30.
Wolfsburg held in-form Augsburg to a 1-1 Bundesliga draw last time out but could count themselves somewhat fortunate after allowing 18 goal attempts and scoring with their first dangerous attack of the game. The result nudged them further from the clutches of the relegation zone but another tricky encounter is on the way in the form of Borussia Mönchengladbach, who they haven’t beaten since December 2019 (D3, L2).

At least they’ve got some strong home form to lean on against this opponent, having lost just one of the last 17 H2Hs they’ve hosted (W12, D4) and with only one league loss in seven matches at the Volkswagen Arena (W3, D3), coach Niko Kovač has good reason to expect another positive result here. Don’t expect this to be a drama-less affair however, as six of Wolfsburg’s last seven home Bundesliga games saw scoring within the first 25 minutes.

Gladbach have enjoyed a better campaign than their hosts so far and are well placed in the top half after securing a 750th Bundesliga win in a 5-2 Rhine derby triumph over Cologne last time out. It was the perfect response to being thumped 5-1 by Werder Bremen in the previous game, and their solid form this campaign has attracted attention with forwards Marcus Thuram and Ramy BensebaĂŻni reportedly wanted by Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

Ahead of his first managerial H2H with Wolfsburg, Gladbach manager Daniel Farke, who missed the Rhine derby due to COVID-19, is in hot pursuit of a first league away win of the season (D3, L1). As one of just five sides that hadn’t claimed a Bundesliga away win following matchday nine, the Foals must improve if they’re to stay in the hunt for a top-six position, but don’t rule out the possibility of another stalemate here as Gladbach have drawn three of their four away league encounters so far (L1).

Players to watch: Lukas Nmecha opened the scoring within 15 minutes in two of Wolfsburg’s last four home league games while in-form forward Marcus Thuram has netted after the 60th minute in each of Gladbach’s last two outings.

Hot stat: Wolfsburg’s home league games have produced an average of 2.75 first-half goals per match this term – a joint-league high after matchday nine.
