Sheffield Utd Blackpool prediction 2022-10-15

Sheffield Utd vs Blackpool prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2022-10-14 14:00.
Sheffield United have seen their early season dominance in the Championship diluted recently with a 3-1 loss against Stoke City last time out meaning they’ve now lost back-to-back league games for the first time in over a year. That has allowed the chasing pack to play catch up on Paul Heckingbottom’s men, who still hold pole position in the table going into the weekend’s action, albeit only on goal difference.

So it’s back to Bramall Lane for the Blades, who’ll be hoping to rediscover their goalscoring touch after netting just two goals across their last three league matches, although they still remain the league’s top-scorers with 21 goals heading into Round 15. They also need to make Bramall Lane a fortress again having failed to win their last two home matches (D1, L1), after initially starting the season with four successive home victories, keeping clean sheets in three of them.

Towards the opposite end of the table you’ll find Blackpool, who are on somewhat of a high after their 3-1 win against Watford last time out meant they’ve claimed four points from their last two matches, ending a run of three straight league losses in the process. Manager Michael Appleton will know they can’t take their foot off the gas though, as his side sit just outside the relegation zone in 19th place prior to the weekend’s action.

The Seasiders need to garner some form on the road if they’re to continue their ascension up the table, but failing to score in two of their last three away trips isn’t a good sign (D1, L2). Especially as all of the last six H2Hs have seen one or both teams fail to score.

Players to watch: Sheffield United’s Iliman Ndiaye will be keen to continue his fine start to the season, having scored nine of his 12 career goals at home, while Blackpool’s Jerry Yates has netted six of his last eight goals past the 75-minute mark.

Hot stat: The second-half has produced more goals than the first in eight of Sheffield United’s last ten home matches.
