Wolfsburg Bochum prediction 2022-10-29

Wolfsburg vs Bochum prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2022-10-28 13:30.
While Wolfsburg have continued to pick up points, a third successive Bundesliga draw and fifth overall – a joint league-high – last round against Bayer Leverkusen means they sit just outside the relegation zone on 11 points. Manager Niko Kovač can only wonder ‘what if’, as his side found themselves leading at a stage in three of those draws, but instead have produced their joint third-worst start after 11 games to a top-flight season (W2, D5, L4).

The Volkswagen Arena faithful will be hoping for a more comprehensive performance from the Wolves here as they bid to continue their run of losing only one of their last eight home games (W3, D4). Welcoming opponents Bochum will only increase the confidence in the home dressing room, considering Wolfsburg have won eight of the last ten home league H2Hs (D1, L1).

Bochum find themselves embedded in the drop zone and just one place off the foot of the table after falling to a league-high eight defeats in their opening 11 matches (W2, D1). However, there’s been a notable improvement in the team since new manager Thomas Letsch came in last month, with both their Bundesliga wins coming under the 54-year-old, as well as another victory in the DFB Pokal during this period against Elversberg.

Letsch’s two league losses have come on the road, and both saw his side concede four goals! This has contributed to Bochum being the only side yet to pick up points on their travels this season, while only Cologne (16) have conceded more away league goals than their total of 15.

Players to watch: Wolfsburg captain Maximilian Arnold scored a penalty vs Leverkusen and now six of his last seven goals have been scored after half-time. But that’ll be no easy feat should he get the chance here as no keeper in Europe’s top-five leagues has saved more penalties since the start of last season than Bochum’s Manuel Riemann’s (five).

Hot stat: No team in Europe’s top-five leagues have conceded more league goals past the 75th minute this season than Bochum (nine).
