Norwich Stoke prediction 2022-10-29

Norwich vs Stoke prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2022-10-28 14:00.
Norwich City appear to be in free-fall at the moment, after a 1-0 loss to Burnley in midweek Championship action extended their winless run to six matches (D2, L4). That’s their longest run in the Championship without victory since March 2018, which has subsequently taken Dean Smith’s side from automatic promotion contenders to being on the outside of the playoff spots looking in.

The Carrow Road faithful will be wondering what happened to their dear Canaries, whose wings were clipped by defeats in their last two home league matches. They haven’t suffered three consecutive home Championship losses since February 2006, so Norwich will be hoping a visit from Stoke City gets them get back on their feet, particularly as they did the double over the Potters the last time they shared a league in the 2020/21 season, with the prospect of winning three consecutive league H2Hs for the very first time.

Unlike their hosts, Stoke weren’t made to compete in the week and manager Alex Neil will be hoping the extra rest will have revitalised his squad after they lost 2-0 to Coventry last weekend. That made it back-to-back league losses without scoring for a misfiring Stoke side, who now find themselves hovering just two points above the relegation zone.

Considering those recent defeats came at home, perhaps the Potters will be glad to hit the road in pursuit of continuing their four-game unbeaten run on their travels (W2, D2). Carrow Road is a venue Neil might have wanted to avoid though, as he’s only succeeded in beating his former employers, a side he managed on 108 occasions, once in six attempts since his departure (D3, L2).

Players to watch: Norwich’s Teemu Pukki seems to love this particular fixture, scoring five goals in his last three matchups against Stoke, whose captain and top-scorer this season Lewis Baker has scored all of his last eight goals away from home.

Hot streak: The team scoring first are yet to lose in matches featuring Stoke this season.
