Rotherham Norwich prediction 2022-11-05

Rotherham vs Norwich prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2022-11-04 15:00.
Ten-man Rotherham fell to late heart-break on Wednesday, surrendering a 2-1 lead in stoppage time to lose 3-2 against Championship leaders Burnley, leaving manager Matt Taylor claiming he was “gutted for the players.” That result extended Rotherham’s winless run to four matches (D1, L3), with lax defensive standards a major concern as the Millers conceded ten goals during that time which is just three less than what they conceded across their other 14 league games this campaign!

A return to Aesseal New York Stadium may be a welcome morale boost despite their last game here ending in a 4-2 defeat against Hull. That was just their second defeat in what otherwise has been an encouraging Championship home campaign (W4, D3), and a return to winning ways would not only avenge Wednesday’s defeat against Burnley but also end a four-game losing streak against Norwich City.

Norwich won’t be in any mood to see that run end, but with just one win in their last eight (D3, L4), the Canaries have lost ground in the automatic promotion race. A defeat here could see Norwich drop outside the top six, with boss Dean Smith insisting it felt “like two points have got away a little bit” after their midweek draw against QPR, though that 0-0 draw did mark Norwich’s first clean sheet across eight league games, perhaps raising hopes of being the catalyst for a turnaround.

A win would also mark Smith’s fourth-straight win against Rotherham and the Canaries could do with every bit of that confidence to break their poor recent four-game away form (D2, L2). Both those draws saw Norwich fail to make their lead count, conceding three times on or beyond the hour mark, making avoiding late slip-ups top of agenda.

Players to watch: Chiedozie Ogbene announced his return from injury with a goal in midweek and he has scored Rotherham’s last goal with four of his last five league goals, helping land two wins. Teemu Pukki may spoil his plans though and he has won his four games for Norwich against Rotherham, directly contributing four goals (G2, A2).

Hot stat: Rotherham are one of two Championship sides yet to win a point from behind in this campaign.
