Monza Verona prediction 2022-11-06

Monza vs Verona prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2022-11-05 14:00.
After such a positive start to his reign as Monza manager, winning their opening three Serie A (SA) matches, Raffaele Palladino has seen his team do a complete 180 by losing their next three league games. Monza will be desperate to snap that losing run in order to maintain their four-point buffer over the relegation zone prior to the weekend’s proceedings.

Two of those three victories came at the Brianteo Stadium, including a famous 1-0 win over SA juggernauts Juventus, with that result contributing to the Red and White’s seeing seven of their last nine home matches decided by a one-goal margin. They’ll no doubt take any victory here if offered as they prepare to face Hellas Verona, considering they’ve failed to win any of the last seven H2Hs (D2, L5).

Luckily for Monza though, the only SA team boasting a worse run of form is Verona, whose 3-1 loss to Roma last time out was their seventh defeat in a row. That means new manager Salvatore Bocchetti’s first three games in charge have all ended in defeat, and losing his first four in a row will result in Verona losing eight consecutive SA matches for the first time in their history!

Sat in the relegation zone, no team in the competition has lost more games than Verona’s nine prior to the weekend, meaning the Yellow and Blues also remain winless on their travels this campaign (D2, L4). That’s not to say Verona haven’t had their say on the road recently, as they’ve managed to find the net in ten of their last 13 SA away matches (W2, D6, L5).

Players to watch: Monza midfielder Stefano Sensi will look to get them off on the right foot, having scored six of his last seven league goals before half-time. He’ll be rivaled by Verona’s Thomas Henry in that regard, who has scored his side’s opener in 12 of his last 14 goalscoring outings.

Hot streak: Verona have scored in their last 12 top-flight games against promoted opposition.
