Preston Millwall prediction 2022-11-12

Preston vs Millwall prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2022-11-11 15:00.
Preston North End will be looking to sign off for the World Cup break with a fourth consecutive Championship victory for the first time since May 2021. North End’s latest purple patch has seen Ryan Lowe’s men rise to within touching distance of the play-off places, with Preston earning more points at this stage of a season in the second tier only twice this century!

Lowe labelled their performance to beat Reading 2-1 last week as “fantastic” with Ched Evans finally breaking his duck for the season by netting a brace, and his return to form may be timely as Preston still boast the worst attacking record in the division after scoring just 16 league goals so far. Luckily for North End, that’s paired with the best defensive record in the Championship, also conceding 16 goals, but two clean sheets from their last eight games suggests perhaps cracks are starting to appear.

Millwall may not be best placed to take advantage though, as they’ve failed to score in any of their last three league outings (D2, L1). Gary Rowett said he expected his side to “create more of a threat” in their goalless draw at home to Hull City, as the Lions failed to take advantage of the visitors going down to ten men despite firing in a whopping 24 shots.

Failure to win their home games provides added pressure on the road for Millwall, and that has taken its toll this term, with only bottom of the league Huddersfield Town (five) earning fewer points on their travels than Millwall’s six. If the Lions are to finally cure their travel sickness, Preston could prove perfect opponents given Millwall are unbeaten in each of their last six H2H meetings (W4, D2).

Players to watch: Ched Evans was Preston’s hero at Reading, but he’s without a goal at Deepdale since November 2021. His fellow Welshman Tom Bradshaw has been in form lately, and he’s won more personal H2Hs with Preston than any other side in his career (six).

Hot stat: Gary Rowett is unbeaten from 11 personal H2H meetings with Preston as a manager (W5, D6).
