Coventry QPR prediction 2022-11-12

Coventry vs QPR prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2022-11-11 15:00.
Coventry City left it late to beat Wigan 2-0 on Tuesday night and in turn secure their third consecutive Championship win ‘to nil’ which moved them into the top half of the table for the first time this season. Only Preston North End have kept more Championship clean sheets than Coventry’s nine this term and with two games in hand on most teams above them, a play-off push after the World Cup seems a realistic target.

Manager Mark Robins described the Wigan game as “not particularly brilliant to watch” but given they’ve found the net in each of their last five home Championship matches (W3, D1, L1), Coventry have at least proved consistent. That should leave the Sky Blues feeling confident of another morale-boosting win here, albeit against a Queens Park Rangers side they’ve only beaten once in three home H2Hs (L2).

While the hosts are flying towards the mid-season break, QPR have stalled since topping the table last month and are now winless in four games (D1, L3). Having watched his side concede five of their last six goals from set pieces, manager Michael Beale admitted his side “didn’t deserve anything” from Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat against Championship basement side Huddersfield Town.

Beale insists his side must “wake up” otherwise QPR could feasibly head into the World Cup break outside of the play-off positions. This venue has been reasonably kind to them recently (W2, L1) but with their only goal across their last three league away fixtures coming in the form of an own goal, the Hoops are stuck in a rut on the road.

Players to watch: Viktor Gyökeres completed the scoring for Coventry against Wigan with his third consecutive second-half strike, while his side unbeaten after he’s netted this term (W4, D3). Meanwhile Chris Willock was the last QPR player to score away from home and he has bagged five of his six goals this season between the 30th and 55th minute.

Hot stat: There’s been only one goal before the 30th minute in Coventry’s home league games this term.
