Sampdoria Lecce prediction 2022-11-12

Sampdoria vs Lecce prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2022-11-11 17:00.
If the alarm bells weren’t already ringing for Sampdoria, they certainly are now after they suffered their third successive Serie A (SA) loss without scoring after a limp 2-0 defeat to Torino in midweek. That result left them firmly embedded in the relegation zone and there are few signs of recovery for Dejan Stanković’s men, as not only have Sampdoria kept just two clean sheets all season, but their measly tally of six SA goals scored is the lowest in the league.

The Stadio Luigi Ferraris faithful have borne the brunt of their side’s poor form, with Sampdoria being one of two teams yet to win at home in SA this season. That unsurprisingly leaves them with another league-low of only two home points (D2, L5), but there is scope to build on that against Lecce, with Sampdoria losing only two of the previous 20 home H2Hs (W10, D8).

Lecce will be confident they can break that curse after securing their second league win of the season when beating Atalanta 2-1 last time out to put clear daylight between themselves and the bottom-three. That was just the latest example of how Lecce have had fans biting their nails all season long, as only one of their 15 games this campaign has seen a winning margin of more than one goal.

Manager Marco Baroni will no doubt endure another tight contest if it means his side pick up all three points, having only won once in their last nine assignments on their travels (D2, L6). Either way, expect early action here given all seven of Lecce’s away games this season have featured at least one first-half goal.

Players to watch: Sampdoria’s Filip Đuričić seems to come alive as the game goes on, scoring each of his last eight SA goals after half-time. Don’t be surprised to see Lecce’s Gabriel Strefezza try to undercut him, having netted his side’s opener in six of his last eight goalscoring outings.

Hot stat: Sampdoria have seen the same half-time result replicated at full-time in 13 of their last 14 home SA matches.
