Schalke Bayern Munich prediction 2022-11-12

Schalke vs Bayern Munich prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2022-11-11 17:30.
Schalke remain at the bottom of the Bundesliga standings despite Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Mainz, a victory that snapped a sequence of seven consecutive league defeats. They’ll spend the World Cup in the bottom three regardless of what happens here, but it was a timely first win for new manager Thomas Reis, who knows he has a job on his hands fighting for top-flight survival when the league resumes in January.

Before that they’ve got one final game at home, where their two league wins this term have arrived (D1, L4), both after leading 1-0 at half-time. However that game is against leaders Bayern Munich, and the omens don’t look great for Schalke as they’ve conceded ten goals combined from the three home matches they’ve played against sides starting this round in the top half this term (D1, L2).

Bayern pulled clear at the top of the table by hammering Werder Bremen 6-1 on Tuesday with that win only marred by an early injury to Sadio Mané. Serge Gnabry scored half of their goals while Jamal Musiala became the youngest player to net 20 Bundesliga goals since Horst Köppel in 1967/68, as the reigning champions took full advantage of others dropping points.

With their rivals struggling, Bayern don’t even need to extend their current six-match unbeaten run in competitive away games (W5, D1) to guarantee they’ll stay on top throughout the World Cup. But they’ll still be pushing for the win and history is on their side as they haven’t lost a H2H here since December 2010 (W10, D1), winning the last six of those games ‘to nil’.

Players to watch: Schalke’s Marias BĂŒlter has bagged two of his three league goals this term after the 75th minute, but is yet to win or score in a personal H2H (D2, L2). In contrast, Bayern’s Gnabry has netted three Bundesliga hat-tricks since the start of the 2020/21 season – the first of those came against Schalke in September 2020!

Hot stat: None of Schalke’s home league matches this term have been level at the break (HT: W3, L4).
