Cardiff QPR prediction 2022-12-26

Cardiff vs QPR prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2022-12-25 17:15.
A frustrated Mark Hudson is blaming Cardiff’s poor finishing for their winless run. The manager blasted “we should have taken the game away from them” after his side let slip a 1-0 lead in their recent 1-1 draw with Blackpool. That result leaves them dangling dangerously close to the relegation zone following four games without a victory (D2, L2).

Another huge concern for the Bluebirds, who have been placed under a transfer embargo for their failure to pay the first instalment owed to Nantes over the signing of the late Emiliano Sala, is their dreadful home form. Hudson took the reins in September, yet has managed just two wins in eight outings at the Cardiff City Stadium (D2, L4), dropping eight points from a leading position in the process.

The visit of QPR to South Wales will provide little comfort either, given Rangers have won five of the last six clashes between the two sides (L1), including a 3-0 hammering when they met in October. The London outfit have a different manager in charge for this meeting though, with Neil Critchley taking charge of his first game recently, a surprise 1-0 win at Preston.

That victory not only ended a four-match losing streak for QPR, but also fired them back into the Championship play-off places. The boss admitted afterwards that he “couldn’t have asked for more from the players,” and he now has a bit of a selection dilemma on his hands, with Ilias Chair again available for selection after featuring for Morocco at the World Cup.

Players to watch: Cardiff forward Callum Robinson has faced QPR ten times and picked up six wins (D2, L2), netting three goals in the process. Meanwhile, the aforementioned Chair has picked up his joint-most career victories against Cardiff, five in seven H2H meetings (L2).

Hot stat: The Cardiff City Stadium is the second lowest-scoring ground in the Championship this season, with just 21 goals in 12 matches (GF:10, A:11).
