Bayern Munich Eintracht Frankfurt prediction 2023-01-28

Bayern Munich vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2023-01-27 17:30.
Only a last-gasp rocket from Joshua Kimmich could save Bayern Munich’s blushes as they recovered a point in a 1-1 draw with Cologne on Tuesday, with their pair of stalemates since the restart cutting their lead at the top to just three points ahead of the round. Manager Julian Nagelsmann was frank in stating that “a point is not enough” as his team continue to chase a record-extending 11th consecutive Bundesliga title.

The Bavarian giants have already registered a four-game winless run of league games this season, but with no competitive defeats since September 2022 (W12, D3), Bayern should be confident of getting back on track here. Despite being one of only three unbeaten home sides in the Bundesliga ahead of the round (W5, D3), this could be a potential banana skin as Eintracht Frankfurt were one of only two sides to beat them here in the league last term, although Bayern have won the last two meetings including a 6-1 thrashing in the reverse fixture.

A 1-1 draw with fellow Champions League hopefuls Freiburg saw Frankfurt drop from second to fourth ahead of this weekend’s action. However with just two points separating the sides between fourth and seventh after 17 games, it’s likely to be an interesting battle to the season end for the European places, with a title charge still feasible for Oliver Glasner’s side, albeit they might feel they need to make it back-to-back wins at the Allianz Arena to be mentioned in those terms.

Despite their long outsider status, Frankfurt’s away league record ranks highly (W4, D3, L1) and that’s not to mention their league-best unbeaten rate when priced up as the underdogs at any venue this term (W3, D1, L1). The Eagles will be up against it to strengthen those records here though considering that they’ve lost at least ten more Bundesliga games against Bayern than any other side (W24, D22, L57)!

Players to watch: Bayern’s Serge Gnabry has been the subject of some negative press for jetting off to Paris Fashion Week following their draw with Leipzig, although he could redeem himself if he can build on his first-half goal and assist from the reverse fixture. For Frankfurt, Randal Kolo Muani has contributed to 16 Bundesliga goals this term (G6, A10), losing only against Bayern on the opening day when he scored.

Hot stat: Frankfurt are yet to lose a league game when scoring first this season (W8, D2).
