RB Leipzig B. Monchengladbach prediction 2023-03-11

RB Leipzig vs B. Monchengladbach prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2023-03-10 14:30.
With a run of just two wins from five Bundesliga matches dissipating any title pipe dreams RB Leipzig held, they can now fully focus on securing their UEFA Champions League (UCL) status for next season. That starts with the visit of Borussia Mönchengladbach, but with a massive UCL last-16 second leg tie against Manchester City to come in the wake of this clash, it remains to be seen if Marco Rose elects to shuffle his pack.

Rose would, however, be wise not to tinker too much, as Leipzig’s top-four berth does at the moment look a little precarious, with the injury to star-man Christopher Nkunku in last week’s 2-1 defeat to Dortmund coming at an inopportune time. It’s a crushing blow to lose your top-scorer at this stage of the season, but considering Leipzig have scored at least twice in each of the last five home H2Hs against Gladbach (W3, D2), goals might not be an issue here.

Considering Nkunku himself scored in the last three of those games, mid-table Gladbach may be relieved to see him watching from the stands as they search for a first ever away H2H clean sheet. Having conceded four goals in each of their last two away league games, the prospect of that appears slim, though they did secure a credible 0-0 draw against Leipzig’s fellow European challengers Freiburg last weekend.

That result continued to highlight Gladbach’s unpredictable nature, with their last six Bundesliga results perfectly split (W2, D2, L2). Daniel Farke’s men are equally as incalculable against the league’s big hitters too, losing just one of their seven games (W3, D3) so far this season against the sides starting the round in the top-five, including a 3-2 win over Bayern three rounds back!

Key battle: Leipzig might look to Timo Werner to step up in Nkunku’s absence, but they may have to wait for his impact given four of his last six club goals arrived on or beyond the 75th minute. Marshalling him could be Nico Elvedi, but he has also showcased his goalscoring prowess by scoring two game opening goals across his side’s last six away league matches, both in games Gladbach went on to lose.

Hot stat: Leipzig have conceded a league-low two first half home goals this season.
