Strangely though, this semi-final clash perhaps comes at a good time, with Stuttgart now unbeaten in five-matches in all competitions (W3, D2) following Saturday’s survival-boosting 2-1 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
That run includes a 1-0 victory against second-tier NĂĽrnberg in the quarter-finals, which now allows them the chance to reach a DFB-Pokal final for the first time since 2012/13.
