Leeds Tottenham prediction 2023-05-28

Leeds vs Tottenham prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2023-05-27 15:30.
Following their 3-1 Premier League (PL) defeat to West Ham United, Leeds United were criticised for seemingly appearing resigned to relegation, with a beleaguered manager Sam Allardyce saying they’d “not shown the quality needed”. Their situation is desperate, but they can still survive by beating Tottenham Hotspur should Leicester and Everton also fail to win, although if Everton draw Leeds must win by at least a three-goal margin to overtake them.

That’s hard to envisage, especially as the Whites haven’t won a league game since the 4th of April (D2, L6), and although that triumph came here at Elland Road, the four games they’ve hosted since have seen them concede a whopping average of 3.5 goals per game (D2, L2). Couple that dismal defensive record with the fact that both PL H2Hs here since their top-flight return (W1, L1) produced exactly four goals, and an action-packed finale could be on the cards.

Adding to that likelihood is Tottenham’s need for goals, as they must better Aston Villa’s result and at least match Brentford’s to qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League after suffering a damaging 3-1 defeat against Brentford last time out. That result bookends a run of just one win in their last seven games (D1, L5), which certainly doesn’t inspire much confidence as they prepare for what will likely be Ryan Mason’s final game in caretaker charge.

A first league away win since the 23rd of January (D2, L5) would be a nice send-off, but Spurs have struggled against sides battling against relegation as they’ve not beaten any of the other three sides in the bottom four on the road this term (D2, L1). That’s not to say their luck won’t change here though as they are unbeaten across their last three final league away games of the season (W2, D1).

Players to watch: Rodrigo has been Leeds’ only scorer in two of their last three fixtures and he netted twice against Tottenham in November’s 4-3 defeat. Meanwhile, all three of Richarlison’s goals for Tottenham this term came after the 75th minute and how his former club Everton would welcome another one here!

Hot stat: Tottenham have matched their own unique 2007/08 record of scoring and conceding at least 60 goals in a 38-game PL season.
