Udinese Juventus prediction 2023-06-04

Udinese vs Juventus prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2023-06-03 19:00.
Udinese’s recent form represents that of a team with very little to play for and they come into this final round 12th on the back of three straight defeats. While they can’t mathematically better their 12th-placed finish of last season, they are at least playing to avoid a fourth successive Serie A (SA) defeat for the first time since October 2018.

Despite being unable to improve upon their placing of last season, a success here for Udinese would see them finish on 49 points which would actually be their highest points return in ten years. However, Udinese have struggled to put their best foot forward against Juventus in recent years, failing to win any of the last five H2Hs (D1, L4).

That should boost Juventus, who arrive into this game on the back of a rocky few weeks. Juventus managed to escape an additional SA points deduction for allegedly lying about players foregoing wages during the COVID-19 pandemic this week after a plea bargain was approved by the Italian Football Federation tribunal. With seventh spot already assured at a minimum, they still hold a chance of securing a top-six finish and come into the round seventh, a point behind Roma in sixth.

While news off the pitch has dominated the headlines for Juventus, things have been pretty bleak on it too. They have won just three of their last nine SA games (D1, L5), mounting pressure on manager Massimiliano Allegri, who this season has collected more SA defeats (ten) than in any other campaign since 2009/10 when he was Cagliari boss, so it’s perhaps little wonder many are predicting this could be his last game in charge of the Old Lady.

Players to watch: Roberto Pereyra grabbed an assist last time out and could make his 200th competitive appearance here for Udinese. Licking his lips at the prospect of this fixture, Juventus forward Arkadiusz Milik will hope to add to his record of two goals in his last three appearances against Udinese.

Hot stat: No team has gained more SA points than Udinese courtesy of goals netted beyond the 75th minute (12).
