FC Volendam Twente prediction 2023-09-03

FC Volendam vs Twente prediction: NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie betting tips on match 2023-09-02 12:30.
If any one individual is going to draw a lot of attention during this Sunday fixture between FC Volendam and FC Twente, it will be Carel Eiting. The former captain of Volendam wanted to make a move to Twente and forced the transfer through with two separation arbitration suits. The denizens of Volendam are therefore probably not eager to welcome him back to the Kras Stadium with open arms, but his new club will certainly be keen to see the 25-year-old make his Eredivisie debut in their kit after recovering from illness.

Volendam lost another important core player this week when left back John Derry Murkin made the switch to Germany’s Schalke 04. After two losses in their first two league outings, they’ve declared themselves ready for their first points of the season. In 2022/23, Volendam managed to win their home fixture against Twente via a goal from youngster Lequincio Zeefuik.

On Thursday evening, FC Twente could not complete the impossible task of repairing a first leg 5-1 deficit to Turkey’s Fenerbahçe, but they certainly played well despite the result not going their way. Joseph Oosting’s side created many chances, but were very sloppy in the final third, and their opponents took the win again (1-0). It’s a pity that the Tukkers could not make the group stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League, but there’s no shame in losing to an opposition of their calibre.

Domestically, Twente has begun flawlessly with six points from their first two matches. The club from Enschede even accumulated a total of seven strikes in those games, but are yet to preserve a clean sheet. It continued a solid end to the previous season and consequently they have now won nine of their last ten league outings. Late in the transfer period, they acquired Mitchell van Bergen, adding to the competition for places on the wings.

Players to watch: Former Twente player Bilal Ould-Chikh provided an assist in each of his official appearances for Volendam this season, whilst Michal Sadilek was also involved in a hit (G1, A1) in his first two Eredivisie matches this season.

Hot streak: Volendam scored in each of their last 11 home Eredivisie matches.
