Bochum Eintracht Frankfurt prediction 2023-09-16

Bochum vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2023-09-15 16:30.
Bochum manager Thomas Letsch has likely used the last fortnight as a chance to work on his side’s leaky defence after a disappointing start to the Bundesliga season. The head coach admitted his side “have to figure out a few things” after they gave away two cheap goals against Augsburg before the international break, meaning they were twice forced to come from behind to earn a 2-2 draw.

The Blues have conceded ten times across four competitive outings this campaign (D2, L2), and their winless start is a cause for concern among the fanbase. There were positives in their last home game at least, a 1-1 stalemate with Borussia Dortmund, and Bochum will be hoping that they can carry that momentum forward as they attempt to extend a run of eight wins from their last 15 Bundesliga outings at Vonovia Ruhrstadion (D3, L4).

Doing that won’t be easy against visitors Eintracht Frankfurt, who have lost just three of the last 13 H2Hs (W7, D3), though won neither of last seasons (D1, L1). The Eagles have made an impressive start to their campaign, going unbeaten in six games across all competitions (W3, D3), whilst their win and two draws from three league outings so far is only the second time in the last 11 years that they’ve not lost any of their first three Bundesliga matches.

The most recent of those results was a 1-1 home draw with Cologne, which prompted head coach Dino Toppmöller, who only took the reins in July, to insist that was no more than his side deserved from what he described as their “best performance” of his tenure. It remains to be seen what the boss will do with his team this weekend, with their UEFA Europa Conference League group stage opener lurking just around the corner in the wake of this game.

Players to watch: After netting a brace in Bochum’s draw against Augsburg, Takuma Asano hasn’t lost any of the last 20 league games in which he’s scored (W17, D3). Trying to out-gun him will be Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush, whose last five Bundesliga strikes have been either the first or last of the game.

Hot stat: There have only been five goals in Frankfurt’s three league games this term – the lowest total in the Bundesliga.
