Vitesse Waalwijk prediction 2023-09-16

Vitesse vs Waalwijk prediction: NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie betting tips on match 2023-09-15 16:45.
Vitesse Arnhem began their season with a win in low-ranking Volendam, but then subsequently lost twice before the international break. But they didn’t encounter easy opposition in that period, losing to PSV Eindhoven and AZ Alkmaar. This weekend, they’ve got a home encounter with last-placed RKC Waalwijk, so the Gelredome crowd won’t be settling for anything less than three points. Vitesse may feel there’s some unfinished business against the Waalwijkers, having failed to score in the last head-to-head meeting after doing so in the 13 prior.

This appears to be the perfect moment for Vitesse to enact revenge, although some of their players are yet to find their feet. For example, Million Manhoef was a standout for Vitesse last season, but things haven’t gone so well this time around. He did however score for the Dutch U21 side during the international break, which could be the catalyst to get him back to his old best.

The season may have just started, but there’s already a small thundercloud lurking over Waalwijk. The club, which was in the race for the final place in the postseason European playoffs last season, lost without a chance in each of their first four matches and they consequently occupy last place in the standings.

They’ve now lost seven consecutive league matches by a multiple-goal margin, and if things continue on this path, their boss could be amongst the first to be sacked in 2023/24. Julian Lelieveld, Patrick Vroegh, Yassin Oukili, Jeroen Houwen, Nouri El Harmazi and Joey Kesting are all products of the Arnhem youth academy.

Players to watch: Vitesse captain Marco van Ginkel has already scored twice this season. Michiel Kramer, together with Ferdy Druijff, is one of two players who has already registered two penalty goals in the Eredivisie this season.

Hot stat: RKC has conceded at least three goals in their last six official matches.
