Ferencvaros Cukaricki prediction 2023-09-21

Ferencvaros vs Cukaricki prediction: EUROPE: Europa Conference League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2023-09-20 16:45.
Hungary’s most successful club on the continental stage will add to more than 60 years of history in UEFA competitions with a first appearance in the group stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL), following an unsuccessful journey through the qualifying rounds of this season’s Champions League. It’s a disappointing drop in class for Ferencváros, who reached the Round of 16 in last season’s Europa League (UEL).

The Hungarian national champions are in an unusual period, having just appointed new manager Dejan Stanković two months into their season. That was despite winning nine of their last ten competitive games under Csaba Máté, who revealed publicly his surprise and disappointment at being replaced so close to a group stage campaign. Such an unusual move seemingly heaps pressure onto Stanković, who now seeks to justify the bizarre move with immediate success.

Serbian club ÄŚukariÄŤki have been priced as the rank outsiders of Group F and the least likely to progress, which is perhaps no surprise given this is their inaugural appearance in the group stage of the UECL. It comes following two failed qualification attempts in which they were handed 6-4 and 7-2 aggregate defeats by Hammarby IF and FC Twente respectively.

Even more recently, they were dealt a pair of large defeats by Greek club Olympiacos in their failed attempt to qualify for the UEL, which perhaps justifies their place in the lowest-ranked of the three continental competitions. It could be difficult to earn points on the road too, given they have not won away from home beyond the first qualifying round of any UEFA competition since 2014/15 (D1, L5).

Players to watch: Ferencváros winger Adama Traoré has scored in each of his last five club appearances, including their first goal in each of their three prior UEFA fixtures. Meanwhile, Serbian good luck charm Marko Docić opened the scoring in each of Čukarički's last two competitive wins.

Hot stat: All but one of the last 17 competitive matches involving either club produced more than 2.5 total goals.
