Eintracht Frankfurt Freiburg prediction 2023-09-24

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Freiburg prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2023-09-23 15:30.
While Eintracht Frankfurt are one of just four sides yet to lose in the Bundesliga ahead of this round, they’ve flattered to deceive in the early weeks of the season. The Eagles have won just one of their first four league matches (D3), and remained unconvincing in a 2-1 win over Scottish side Aberdeen in their UEFA Europa Conference League group stage opener in midweek.

Dino Toppmöller’s men have hardly been the great entertainers since he replaced Oliver Glasner at Deutsche Bank Park, with their four league matches producing a league-low seven goals. All three of their stalemates this term have come by the same 1-1 scoreline, but Frankfurt will feel they’re capable of snapping that streak here given they’re unbeaten on home soil since a 2-0 defeat to Napoli in February (W6, D5).

Freiburg are experiencing very different issues to their upcoming opponents, with goals flying in at both ends of the pitch in their matches of late. Christian Streich’s men conceded twice beyond the 87th minute in a painful defeat against Borussia Dortmund last weekend, before responding by dishing out some late pain of their own to beat Olympiacos 3-2 in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.

Streich will certainly want his backline to be harder to breach going forward, as only four sides have conceded more than their ten league goals ahead of this round. Those issues have followed them on their travels too, with Freiburg losing three of their last four Bundesliga road trips (W1), conceding 11 goals in those defeats – an average of almost 3.7 per game!

Players to watch: On target against Aberdeen, Omar Marmoush could be the man to fill Randal Kolo Muani’s boots at Frankfurt, with three of his last four goals arriving after half-time. Freiburg talisman Vincenzo Grifo also scored on Thursday and will be keen to add to his four-goal career haul against Frankfurt given he’s only hit more against two senior sides.

Hot streak: Both teams have scored in each of the last seven H2Hs Frankfurt have hosted.
