Real Madrid Osasuna prediction 2023-10-07

Real Madrid vs Osasuna prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2023-10-06 14:15.
Real Madrid are on a roll and manager Carlo Ancelotti called Tuesday's 3-2 UEFA Champions League win over Napoli a “complete and serious performance” as they scored three goals for the second successive game. The first of those, a 3-0 win over Girona last Saturday, lifted them back to the top of La Liga (LL) after matchday eight (W7, L1).

With no fresh injury worries, and even veteran Luka Modrić getting a runout in midweek, Ancelotti’s squad should be fresh for their next challenge as they host Osasuna, a team the 35-time league winners haven’t lost against at home since April 2004 (W13, D3). Nobody has defeated Los Blancos in a LL encounter at the Santiago Bernabéu since April this year (W7, D1) either, highlighting the challenge the visitors face.

Still, Osasuna produced a result just when they needed one to beat AlavĂ©s 2-0 on Sunday, ending a five-match winless run in all competitions (D2, L3) to move into a mid-table position (W3, D1, L4). They rode their luck at times, and were helped by their opponents having a man sent off – the sixth player to be dismissed across their eight league games this season!

Los Rojillos actually had a man sent off in this LL fixture last term, but admirably held on to draw 1-1, suggesting they shouldn’t be immediately discounted. Jagoba Arrasate’s men have scored twice in each of their last four league away outings too (W3, L1), although they’ve only managed that in an away H2H in one of their last five attempts (D2, L3).

Players to watch: Madrid’s Jude Bellingham was in sparkling form again on Tuesday (G1, A1) against Napoli, bringing his goal involvement tally this term up to 11 in nine games (G8, A3). While Osasuna’s Ante Budimir can’t compete with that (G3, A1), he has scored in each of his side’s last three away fixtures, those goals all arriving after the 50th minute.

Hot stat: Madrid have received a joint-league low five yellow cards in LL home matches this term.
