Swansea Leicester prediction 2023-10-21

Swansea vs Leicester prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2023-10-20 14:00.
Swansea City return from the international break sat firmly in mid-table after picking up 15 points from their opening 11 league fixtures (W4, D3, L4). That only tells half the story though, as the Welsh side stormed into the break having won four consecutive matches, a streak that Michael Duff’s side will look to extend further here to make it the club’s longest winning stretch since a run of six victories between November-December 2007 back in League One.

Much of that recent success has been achieved after Swansea finally found their shooting boots in front of goal. Each of their past four wins have seen the hosts net at least twice, whilst on home soil they’ve scored in all five of their Championship outings in 23/24, something that needs to continue if any play-off ambition this season is to be achieved.

Fixtures don’t come much harder than a visit from Leicester City however, who are clearly a team on a mission following their Premier League relegation last season. Incoming boss Enzo Maresca has breathed new life into his Foxes since joining in the summer, overseeing ten wins from their opening 11 league outings (L1), in turn becoming only the second side in Championship history to complete that feat.

The away side will also be looking to chase more history here thanks to their perfect form on the road so far this season. That’s because Leicester have won all five of their away league matches to date and will be looking to become the first ever side in English second tier history to win six in succession to open up a campaign!

Players to watch: After joining Swansea this summer, Jerry Yates has netted four league goals with three of those coming on home soil. For Leicester, youngster Kasey McAteer also has four league goals in 23/24 but in contrast to Yates, all four have come on the road!

Hot stat: Swansea have won four of their six home H2Hs (L2) with each of those victories coming ‘to nil’.
