Bodo/Glimt Besiktas prediction 2023-10-26

Bodo/Glimt vs Besiktas prediction: EUROPE: Europa Conference League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2023-10-25 19:00.
Bodø/Glimt will be looking to bring their domestic form with them to European competition on Thursday when they take on Beşiktaş at the Aspmrya Stadion in Group D of the UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL). Top of the Eliteserien with a six point cushion, Bodø/Glimt have scored seven goals in their last two games and are unbeaten across their last seven league outings (W5, D2) as they look to continue to impress on all fronts this campaign.

Things haven’t been quite as plain sailing for Kjetil Knutsen’s side in the UECL, having picked up just one point from their opening two matches in Group D so far, failing to score a goal in the process – a stat they’ll be desperately looking to change in this clash. They have at least been far stronger defensively, keeping a clean sheet away at Lugano (0-0) before losing just 1-0 at home to Club Brugge.

Beşiktaş arrive in Norway level on points with their hosts in Group D after earning a draw away to Club Brugge in their opener. It all went wrong on matchday two, as the Black Eagles looked set to top the group when they went 2-0 up at home to Lugano, only to be reduced to ten men and subsequently concede three goals in the final ten minutes to lose 3-2!

The result prompted the resignation of manager Şenol Güneş the following day, with 38-year old Burak Yılmaz taking charge. Even under new leadership it seems that old habits die hard, as Beşiktaş once again had a man sent off in their 2-1 Istanbul derby defeat to Galatasaray on Saturday. A return to European competition should be welcomed then, as the visitors remain unbeaten away from home in such matches this season (W3, D1), even if they’ve only kept one clean sheet in the process.

Players to watch: Ulrik Saltnes has found the net in the last four domestic games for Bodø/Glimt, with three of the goals coming before HT. Vincent Aboubakar scored both of Beşiktaş’ goals in the defeat against Lugano and also contributed an assist in the draw with Club Brugge.

Hot stat: Three of Beşiktaş’ last four competitive matches have seen a red card shown.
