Leicester Leeds prediction 2023-11-03

Leicester vs Leeds prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2023-11-02 20:00.
This weekend may end with Bonfire Night, but it begins with an absolute firecracker of a fixture as a rampant Leicester City welcome fellow promotion hunters Leeds United. No side has ever reached 39 points as quickly as the Foxes (W13, L1), a feat which they achieved when digging deep to beat a ten-man QPR 2-1 after being pegged back last weekend.

Boss Enzo Maresca has encouraged his players to “enjoy the moment,” and perhaps the best way to do that would be to set a new club record with a tenth consecutive EFL Championship victory here. Each of their four home victories during that run came without reply, so another strong defensive showing could be on the cards as they look to provisionally open up a whopping 17-point gap to third.

That third-placed team is fellow relegated team Leeds, who are enjoying a fine season in their own right and will be doing everything possible to reduce that gap to 11 points. Daniel Farke’s men travel to the King Power Stadium in impressive form after a 4-1 win in a Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield made it four wins across the last five rounds (L1) despite keeping only one clean sheet in the process.

Travelling to Leicester presents a whole new set of problems for Leeds, who took just one point from the Foxes in last season’s unfortunate Premier League campaign. In fact, Leeds have won just one of their last four away games (D1, L2) and with just one away win against Leicester in just over a decade (W1, D2, L3), continuing their fine overall form here may be a bridge too far.

Players to watch: Leicester’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is leading the way for overall goal contributions in the Championship (G5, A6), providing important assists in each of his side’s last three victories. Trying to outdo him will be Leeds starlet Crysencio Summerville, the man who has blown teams away with his three Flashscore Player of the Match accolades across his last four appearances (G4, A3), including two goals and as many assists last time out!

Hot stat: Over half of Leicester’s home league goals came on or beyond the 75th minute this season (6/11).
