Manchester City Bournemouth prediction 2023-11-04

Manchester City vs Bournemouth prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2023-11-03 15:00.
Manchester City cruised to a 3-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday to keep the pressure on Premier League (PL) pacesetters Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. While two defeats across their last four league games (W2) leave the reigning champions two points off the top, that derby victory was a clear reminder of their threat and a statement of intent to their fellow title chasers.

Having won each of their last 14 home PL fixtures, Pep Guardiola’s side are a force to be reckoned with at the Etihad Stadium, where they’ve conceded just twice across the last five of those league encounters. Winning 91% of home PL outings here as favourites since the start of last term, no team from outside London has beaten the Cityzens here in England’s top flight since Leeds in April 2021!

But Bournemouth will travel on a high after finally earning their first PL victory of the season with a 2-1 triumph over fellow strugglers Burnley lifting them out of the relegation zone. A stunning 40-yard effort from Philip Billing secured what manager Andoni Iraola described as a “huge win” as the Cherries showed admirable determination to come out on top in a league match after going behind for the first time since beating Tottenham 3-2 in April.

Bournemouth were away from home on that latter occasion, and they’ll need all of that spirit and more as they head to the blue side of Manchester, where they’ve lost all six prior PL H2Hs while conceding an average of 3.67 goals per game. The south coast outfit are also chasing a first league away win since late April (D1, L5), with their last three defeats on the road seeing them concede exactly three times.

Players to watch: Phil Foden completed the scoring against Man United, but his previous four strikes for club and country have all served as the opener. Similarly, prior to his late strike against Burnley, Billing’s last three goals for Bournemouth were first-half match openers.

Hot streak: Each of the last five H2Hs witnessed scoring before the 20th minute.
