Huddersfield Watford prediction 2023-11-04

Huddersfield vs Watford prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2023-11-03 15:00.
For the third time in five Championship outings, Huddersfield Town conceded four goals as they were downed 4-1 at Elland Road by Yorkshire rivals Leeds United last weekend. Boss Darren Moore insisted that he took “full responsibility” for the result as the pressure already begins to grow on his shoulders following a return of just one victory from his opening seven league matches with the club (D3, L3).

That run of poor form sees the Terriers head into matchday 15 sat fourth bottom of the standings and just five points above safety, albeit having played one match more than Rotherham below them. The hosts have also conceded the joint-most goals in the competition so far (27) and won’t exactly be thrilled to see Watford turn up at the John Smith’s Stadium next, given their return of four losses across the last six H2Hs against the Hornets (W2).

That said, Watford had to rely on a last gasp 92nd minute equaliser at the weekend to draw 2-2 at home to Millwall as they continue to slumber in mid-table in the Championship. The visitors are yet to really spring into life so far this campaign, though their current run of four league outings without defeat (W2, D2) could at least provide a building block for an assault at the play-off spots which is the aim this time around.

Valérien Ismaël’s side have looked weak on the road this season, winning just one of six such league matches to date (D2, L3). That victory came in their last trip against Swansea (W 1-0) which ended a run of 14 Championship winless away days and means they can now target consecutive league wins on the road for the first time since last November!

Players to watch: Despite being a defender, Michał Helik is Huddersfield’s top league scorer this campaign (G4). He netted again at the weekend, whilst two of his last three have come in second half injury time. Interestingly, Watford’s Mileta Rajovic also scored at the weekend to grab his fourth of the Championship season, the last two coming in second half injury time!

Hot stat: Just two of Watford’s six Championship away matches have seen both teams score – a joint-league low figure.
