Luton Liverpool prediction 2023-11-05

Luton vs Liverpool prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2023-11-04 16:30.
After the highs of securing their first ever Premier League (PL) victory when beating Everton at the end of September, Luton Town have since returned to the reality of how difficult life in the PL can be for a newcomer, picking up just a single point in their four matches since. Rob Edwards’ side will subsequently begin another round of PL action in the relegation zone, joined by fellow newly promoted teams Burnley and Sheffield United.

The Hatters have had trouble dealing with top-flight calibre attacks, conceding in every league game thus far, which could see them become only the second side in history to concede in each of their first 11 PL games. Still, hosting clubs with the stature of Liverpool is exactly what the Kenilworth Road faithful would have been looking forward to, even if Luton’s league record thus far (W1, D2, L7) is the inverse of their visitors (W7, D2, L1).

That lone loss for Liverpool came against Kenilworth Road’s previous visitors (Tottenham) on the same day that Luton beat Everton, and remains Liverpool’s only defeat in any tournament this season (W12, D2). They’ve since gotten back to winning ways in each of their last four matches spanning three different competitions, continuing with a 3-0 triumph over Nottingham Forest in their last league game and a midweek EFL Cup 2-1 win over Bournemouth most recently.

Jürgen Klopp will now oversee a Liverpool side facing Luton for the first time since January 2008, fully expected to extend a run of avoiding defeat in nine of the last ten H2Hs (W5, D4). The Reds won’t be taking any points to the bank just yet despite being overwhelming favourites, having failed to win any of their three trips to promoted sides last PL season (D1, L2).

Players to watch: Luton’s Elijah Adebayo could remain dangerous right until the very end, scoring seven of his last eight goals after half-time. Fellow #11, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, has proven to be dangerous around the clock, registering 32 goal contributions in his last 28 PL outings (G20, A12).

Hot stat: Luton have scored six of their nine PL goals this season beyond the 80th minute.
