Utrecht Twente prediction 2023-11-05

Utrecht vs Twente prediction: NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie betting tips on match 2023-11-04 11:15.
The Sunday lunchtime game of Round 11 features hungry hosts FC Utrecht, who have been undefeated now for three consecutive competitive games whilst winning their last two home fixtures under the leadership of new manager Ron Jans. But their position in the Eredivisie rankings is still a miserable sight: seven points from ten games at rock bottom last place. They’ve done themselves the disservice of having to balance their recovery with a KNVB Cup Round of 32 game next month.

It is perhaps a bit simplistic to attribute the four points they have earned in their last two league games to a change of head coach, but there’s no denying Jans has helped Utrecht find their way to the goals again. They scored like crazy in Jans’ two home fixtures – 4-3 against Ajax and 3-2 over Waalwijk in the KNVB Cup, following a single goal in their first three home outings of the Eredivisie campaign (L3).

Their next opponents, FC Twente, know a thing or two about occupying last place in the standings. It was only several years ago that the Enschede club fell off the rails completely and were relegated to the second tier of Dutch football. The club started performing well again immediately upon their return in 2019, ironically with the assistance of current Utrecht boss Ron Jans!

But Twente is also now experiencing quite a successful season under his successor Joseph Oosting. The Tukkers have been virtually unbeatable and the team occupied third place going into Sunday’s games after defeating Feyenoord 2-1. Their only two slip-ups of the league season have been away from home: a loss at RKC Waalwijk and draw at Heracles Almelo were certainly missed opportunities.

Players to watch: 19-year-old Utrecht midfielder Oscar Fraulo (G1, A1) is enjoying his first season for the club after opening the score in their Cup match against RKC. Ricky van Wolfswinkel (G5) is the ideal substitute for Twente. Against Feyenoord he only needed 12 minutes for his fifth goal of the season.

Hot stat: FC Twente has been waiting for a victory in Utrecht for more than ten years. Their last away win was recorded in the 2013 play-offs. Since then, Utrecht have been undefeated in home H2Hs (W7, D2).
