Middlesbrough Leicester prediction 2023-11-11

Middlesbrough vs Leicester prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2023-11-10 15:00.
Amidst the poignant backdrop of Remembrance Day, Michael Carrick and his Middlesbrough side prepare to take on their toughest challenge yet as they welcome runaway Championship leaders Leicester City. Things have been looking rather rosy for Boro of late as they took two positive results from a pair of gruelling trips to Devon last week (W1, D1) reaching their first League Cup quarter-final since 2018/19 in the process.

Entering this round amongst a wealth of sides in contention for the play-off positions, Boro know that with only six points separating sixth from 15th prior to the weekend, there is no shame in their mid-table berth. There perhaps was an element of shame when Boro’s last home league outing saw them go down 2-0 against Stoke, but considering they haven’t lost back-to-back home league games since April 2022, a response is to be expected here.

Doing their level best to inflict another home defeat are Leicester, who maintained their stranglehold on the division despite falling 1-0 to Leeds in the previous round. That was only the Foxes’ second defeat of the league season (W13), which means that this remains the best ever 15-game start any club has ever made to an EFL Championship season.

Breaking records has been the name of the game for Leicester so far, and another one could be set to tumble here. After seven straight away league wins to begin the campaign, Enzo Maresca’s men could become the first side between tier two and four in English football to begin a league season with eight straight road wins. That seems like a distinct possibility too considering Leicester haven’t lost at the Riverside Stadium in over two decades (W3, D4)!

Players to watch: On loan from Leeds, Sam Greenwood is making a great case for Middlesbrough to exercise their £1.5m option to buy after netting important goals in three of his last five appearances, although he is yet to score at home. Trying to outdo him will be Leicester’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, a man who also shines away from home with one goal and five assists across his seven away league appearances this season.

Hot stat: Leicester have scored in both halves in six of their seven away league games this season, a league-high.
