Granada CF Getafe prediction 2023-11-11

Granada CF vs Getafe prediction: SPAIN: LaLiga betting tips on match 2023-11-10 17:30.
After being relegated from and then promoted back to La Liga (LL) across the last two seasons, Granada are currently on course for another demotion. Rooted inside the relegation zone, a return of six points from their opening 12 matches sees the Nasrids sit three points adrift of safety ahead of this round, having conceded 29 across those games while failing to keep a single clean sheet.

Defence is evidently where the problems lie for Paco López’s men, as despite scoring ten goals across their last five home fixtures, they’ve won just once (D2, L2). Granada’s only win of the campaign, a 3-2 victory over Mallorca, came way back in August (D3, L6 since), and another defeat here would be a fourth in succession and serve to compound growing fears of an immediate return to the second-tier.

Losing in the league is something which Getafe have not experienced since late September, although they played out five successive draws before finally getting a 1-0 home win over Cadiz on Monday, a victory made all the more impressive by the fact they played over half the game with ten men.

The Azulones are firmly in mid-table ahead of this round of fixtures, eight points above the relegation zone and five adrift of the European places. But their away form is something which must improve if they are to challenge the teams above them, as Getafe are now winless in seven LL road matches (D4, L3). Winning just one of the last 19 LL away fixtures (D7, L11) suggests it’s been a long-standing issue for Getafe – hardly a good omen ahead of a visit to Granada considering they failed to win any of their last five top-flight visits there (D3, L2).

Players to watch: Forward Bryan Zaragoza has contributed to three (G2, A1) of Granada’s last four goals at home and has already matched his tally of five strikes from last season. Borja Mayoral has had a hand in Getafe’s last four LL goals (G3, A1), including a goal and an assist in their most recent away fixture.

Hot stat: Granada’s LL home games have averaged four goals per game this season, a joint-league high ahead of the round.
