Uruguay Bolivia prediction 2023-11-21

Uruguay vs Bolivia prediction: SOUTH AMERICA: World Championship – Qualification betting tips on match 2023-11-21 23:30.
The Marcelo Bielsa revolution is well and truly underway for Uruguay, who have now beaten Brazil and Argentina in back-to-back games for the first time since 1959! La Celeste’s 2-0 win over the World champions was a statement victory that moved them into second place in CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup qualifying (WCQ), only behind Argentina in the standings after a solid start (W3, D1, L1).

Uruguay will certainly be confident of maintaining that pace given that they’ve won four consecutive home WCQ matches, last winning five in succession back in November 2016. The visit of Bolivia is unlikely to shake their belief given that La Celeste have never lost a H2H on home soil (W20, D1), while all of the last three WCQ meetings in Uruguay have ended 4-2, each featuring at least two first-half goals.

Bolivia may well travel with new-found confidence however, as they broke their duck in this WCQ cycle by beating basement boys Peru 2-0 on Thursday. Antônio Carlos Zago’s men endured a difficult start to qualifying, losing all of their first four matches and conceding 11 goals in the process, but look to have turned a corner after that victory.

La Verde are looking to end a 20-year absence from the World Cup stage, but if their away form doesn’t improve, that dream won’t become a reality. Bolivia have failed to win a single WCQ match on the road this century, while they’re currently in the midst of an eight-match losing streak. They’ve netted just four times across that run, but they can at least take heart from scoring in each of their last three WCQ visits to Uruguay.

Players to watch: Uruguay’s Ronald Araújo scored his first international goal against Argentina, while he was also on target at Real Sociedad shortly before the international break, meaning he’s netted twice in his last four appearances for club and country. Bolivia’s Ramiro Vaca is usually in the thick of the action, scoring twice and receiving two yellow cards across his last four matches.

Hot streak: None of Bolivia’s last 16 WCQ matches ended level (W4, L12).
