Heidenheim Bochum prediction 2023-11-26

Heidenheim vs Bochum prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2023-11-25 14:30.
A hard-fought 4-2 loss against Bayern Munich left Bundesliga new boys Heidenheim with much to ponder over the international break after a run of five defeats across their last six games. That match also brought up 600 encounters in charge for the all-time longest-serving professional manager in Germany, Frank Schmidt, who has taken the Baden-Württemberg outfit all the way from the fifth tier to the top flight since his appointment in September 2007!

He seems to be doing a sterling job of keeping them afloat for the time being too, with ten points at this stage helping them to keep a small buffer between themselves and the relegation zone ahead of the round. Nine of those ten points were picked up at home, where they have won three of their last four such league contests (W3, L1) ahead of the visit of Bochum, a side Heidenheim have only beaten in three of their eight previous competitive home H2Hs (W3, D1, L4).

Sitting one point and one place below their hosts, 14th-placed Bochum enter this game on three-match unbeaten league run (W1, D2), which is promising on the face of it as they slowly but surely accrue points. Even so, the rather concerning part of that run is that they have conceded no fewer than four equalisers after taking the lead in those three fixtures!

In fact, no team in the division has squandered more leads than Bochum’s four ahead of the round (W1, D3, L1). Despite the connotations of complacency, Bochum have at least avoided defeat in seven of their 11 league outings this term, albeit only winning once in the process (W1, D6, L4). That sole victory came in their last away trip against promoted Darmstadt, perhaps raising hopes as they face another new Bundesliga side.

Players to watch: Heidenheim have a star in wideman Jan-Niklas Beste, who scored against Bayern Munich last time out to remain very close to a 1:1 goal-contribution-to-game ratio after 11 competitive appearances this season (G5, A5). Similarly influential on the road for Bochum, Takuma Asano had a hand in all five of his side’s league away goals (G4, A1), including netting a brace in their only league win of the campaign.

Hot stat: Five of Bochum’s six Bundesliga away matches this season have produced at least two first-half goals (HT: D3, L3).
