Frosinone Genoa prediction 2023-11-26

Frosinone vs Genoa prediction: ITALY: Serie A betting tips on match 2023-11-25 14:00.
With just under a third of the season gone, Serie A (SA) new boys Frosinone will be delighted with how their first few months back amongst Italy’s elite have gone, securing 15 points from their opening 12 games (W4, D3, L5). Things haven’t been quite so rosy lately, as the Canaries have lost four of their last six league games (W2), meaning ahead of the round, only Verona (five) have suffered more defeats in the division since the start of October.

As they seek to avoid adding to that losing tally, home comforts will be likely once again be key. Despite a concerning overall recent record, Eusebio Di Francesco’s are actually unbeaten at home in their last five SA games (W4, D1) and stand on the brink of history against Genoa as never before in the top-flight have they made it six unbeaten at the Stadio Benito Stirpe.

That may be easier said than done against Genoa, a club who have a recent H2H hold on them, winning five of the last eight league meetings (D2, L1). They did actually lose the most recent one in May a few weeks before the pair were promoted out of Serie B together, but on the back of three wins from their last five games this season (L2), all by a one-goal margin, the Red and Blues arrive in better form.

A 1-0 win over Hellas Verona last time out lifted them further clear of the immediate clutches of relegation and was interestingly the sixth time already this term that Alberto Gilardino’s side have been involved in a game ending 1-0 (W3, L3), three of which came across their first three away matches of the season. The prior H2H matches in Frosinone at least point to avoiding that same scenario this time around, with each of the four games seeing at least two match goals.

Players to watch: Youngster Arijon Ibrahimović was involved in Frosinone’s last two SA goals, scoring and assisting after half-time in a 2-1 win over Empoli. Genoa heavily rely on Albert Guðmundsson where scoring goals is concerned. He’s their top scorer in SA with five, and has netted in three of their last four games in all competitions, with two of those match-winning strikes.

Hot streak: Genoa have scored exactly twice in all four of their previous away league games against Frosinone.
