Bayern Munich vs FC Copenhagen prediction: EUROPE: Champions League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2023-11-28 20:00.
With six matches to play between now and Christmas, Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel may be tempted to rotate his squad as the UEFA Champions League (UCL) returns. The German outfit are already through to the knockout phase and have secured first place in the group with two games to spare, so a home clash with Copenhagen may be the perfect chance to rest some players after midfielder Leon Goretzka admitted the squad were “exhausted” following the international break.

Despite the tired legs after most players were involved during the international break, Bayern still managed to see off Cologne 1-0 on Friday, their fourth successive victory across all competitions. They remain two points off top spot in the Bundesliga, while a full complement of 12 points from four UCL group encounters means Die Roten are looking to extend their run of 12 home fixtures without defeat in this competition (W10, D2).

That’s a pretty ominous record for their Danish visitors, who lost 2-1 when the two teams met in early October and have picked up just one win in their last 14 away games in the UCL proper (D3, L10). If they can improve that sequence though, it would be a serious boost to the Lions’ hopes of reaching the last 16 for just the second time, after a dramatic 4-3 victory over Manchester United on matchday four put them second in Group A.

However, Jacob Neestrup’s side are struggling for consistency at the moment, with a 2-1 defeat at Viborg at the weekend a fourth loss in their last 11 outings (W5, D2). The manager criticised his men for not being clinical enough in the final third after that match, and will be hoping his forwards can find more of a cutting edge at the Allianz Arena as they attempt to triumph against a German team for the first time (D4, L9).

Key battle: Bayern’s Leroy Sané is unbeaten in the last 36 club games in which he has scored (W31, D5). Attempting to stop him will be Copenhagen goalkeeper Kamil Grabara, although he has never kept a clean sheet in a UCL away group match (D1, L3), conceding at least two goals on three occasions.

Hot streak: Bayern have netted at least twice in 11 of their last 14 UCL games.
