Augsburg Eintracht Frankfurt prediction 2023-12-03

Augsburg vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction: GERMANY: Bundesliga betting tips on match 2023-12-02 18:30.
Augsburg returned from November’s international break to extend their unbeaten run to five successive Bundesliga matches (W2, D3), though they’ll have been disappointed not to have taken all three points on offer in their 1-1 stalemate against Union Berlin after conceding an 88th-minute equaliser. Letting in that late strike was symptomatic of the club’s overall defensive problems in the league this campaign, as the hosts have now failed to keep a single clean sheet in 12 attempts as a result.

A return to home soil and the WWK Arena will be most welcome then, as Augsburg have still lost just one of their opening six Bundesliga home outings (W2, D3). It’s only the second time in club history that the side from Bavaria have managed that feat and it’s mostly come courtesy of their goalscoring, scoring in each of those six matches with four witnessing them net two or more times.

Visiting Eintracht Frankfurt will fancy their chances of breaking that streak though, as they enter this matchday having conceded just 13 league goals so far – the fourth fewest in the competition. They begin this round sat in seventh spot and just outside the European places after losing 2-1 to Stuttgart last time out in the Bundesliga, a result which was followed by further disappointment in midweek continental action in a 2-1 home loss to PAOK which saw them miss the chance to claim top spot in their UEFA Europa Conference League group.

That’s been the tale of the Eagles campaign so far – a lack of consistency – but they are beginning to finally find some of that on the road at least. That’s because they’ve now gone unbeaten across their prior three Bundesliga road outings (W2, D1), picking up as many points in that run as their 14 away league fixtures before combined!

Players to watch: Augsburg captain Ermedin Demirović has seven goals in 12 Bundesliga outings this season, five of which have come on home soil. Eintracht’s Omar Marmoush will be looking to outgun him here after netting 11 competitive goals this campaign, with five coming before the 15th minute!

Hot stat: Ahead of this matchday, no side has attempted fewer shots in the Bundesliga than Eintracht Frankfurt (127).
