Nice Reims prediction 2023-12-10

Nice vs Reims prediction: FRANCE: Ligue 1 betting tips on match 2023-12-09 12:00.
A 1-0 loss to Nantes last Saturday saw Nice suffer their first defeat of the Ligue 1 season, ending what had been an impressive 13-match unbeaten run to start the campaign (W8, D5). Despite that result, the hosts begin this round sitting in second spot and serving as PSGā€™s closest competitors as they look to make it four successive home league victories ā€˜to nilā€™.

Much of their success this season has come courtesy of their solid backline which has conceded just five league goals to date, the fewest of any side across Europeā€™s traditional top five leagues. Thatā€™s unsurprisingly led to the Eaglets keeping a league-high ten clean sheets this term, and another here wouldnā€™t be a huge surprise, especially as five of the last six H2Hs have remarkably finished 0-0!

Just like their hosts here, Reims have made their own strong start to this latest Ligue 1 campaign and sit inside the top six ahead of kick-off after winning half of their opening 14 matches (W7, D2, L5). Manager Will Still has rightly taken many of the plaudits for that solid start, though the away side may struggle to keep hold of their head coach as Championship side Sunderland are reportedly looking to secure his services.

The 31-year-old is expected to remain on the Reims bench for this latest games and will look to orchestrate another positive result, particularly as his side come into the round boasting the leagueā€™s third-best away record this term (W3, D2, L2). The Champagne-based sideā€™s last road trip did end in a 3-1 loss to Rennes, but theyā€™ll be hoping to respond in style here, as they look to claim a 16th Ligue 1 victory in 2023 which would be their joint-most wins in a single year since 1976!

Players to watch: With four Ligue 1 strikes to his name this season, Terem Moffi is Niceā€™s top scorer in the competition and has netted two H2Hs goals previously. Reimsā€™ Amir Richardson will look to upstage him early on, with all three of his goals this season serving as match openers.

Hot streak: None of Niceā€™s last six home Ligue 1 matches have seen both teams score.
