Fenerbahce Trnava prediction 2023-12-14

Fenerbahce vs Trnava prediction: EUROPE: Europa Conference League – Group Stage betting tips on match 2023-12-13 17:45.
In a group with many complicated permutations, Fenerbahçe can make things very simple for themselves by winning their final UEFA Conference League (UECL) group stage game against Spartak Trnava, which would guarantee themselves a top-two position and springtime football in this competition. A draw or even a loss may suffice, depending on how Ludogorets perform against Nordsjælland, but only victory will be on their minds.

İsmail Kartal’s men will need to swing momentum back in their favour then as, after winning their first three group games, Fenerbahçe have suffered back-to-back UECL losses since, including a humiliating 6-1 reverse against Nordsjælland. They’ll be grateful that their Group H finale is at home, as they’ve won ten of their last 11 European games at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium (D1), rattling in 19 goals from their five UECL matches so far this season.

There are plenty of reasons to worry for visiting Spartak Trnava, who have already suffered elimination after failing to win any of their five group games (D1, L4). The Slovak outfit’s second crack at a UEFA group stage has been painful to say the least, epitomised by conceding decisively in the 95th minute to lose 2-1 against Ludogorets on matchday five.

Their only point did come on the road, though building on that looks especially tough given that they’ve lost all three previous away matches against Turkish opposition, failing to score a single goal in the process. European victories on the road are hard to come by for the White Angels in any country, as they’ve won just two of their last 15 such road trips (D4, L9).

Players to watch: No player in the UECL group stage has assisted more goals than Fenerbahçe’s Fred (four), with the team winning all three of their group stage games in which he played, and losing both while he was injured! Trnava’s hopes surely rest on Kelvin Ofori, who has had a direct hand in all three of their group goals (G1, A2), including scoring in the reverse fixture (L 1-2).

Hot stat: Fenerbahçe failed to qualify from only two of their last ten European groups.
