Wolves Everton prediction 2023-12-30

Wolves vs Everton prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2023-12-29 15:00.
[p]It’s fair to say that Wolves are now looking up the table rather than down it after two impressive wins over the festive period, the first on Christmas Eve seeing them beat Chelsea 2-1 before they then blew Brentford away on their own patch in London 4-1 in midweek. As a result, they now have the chance to win three successive Premier League (PL) games for the first time since January 2022 here against Everton. [/p]

[p]Doing so would suggest that Gary O’Neil’s side could have an outside shot at fighting for the European places this season and they do come into the round just five points short of the top seven. He won’t be letting his team get carried away just yet though, especially for this final contest of 2023 given Wolves’ disappointing record in recent fixtures closing out the year. That’s because they’re winless in their final league game in each of the last four calendar years (D1 L3), failing to score a single goal across them all. [/p]

[p]Just a point above the bottom three ahead of the round, Everton started December in fine form with four straight PL wins without conceding, but a quarter-final penalty shootout Carabao Cup loss against Fulham has been followed up with two successive league losses since. They admittedly came against Tottenham and Manchester City, but the Toffees could now lose three straight PL games for the second time this campaign, with the first coming in their opening three games – the third clash in that sequence seeing them lose 1-0 to Wolves. [/p]

[p]That added to a disappointing record against their hosts, with the Merseyside club having lost four of their past five games against Wolves (D1). But in search of positives for Sean Dyche’s side, Everton are at least unbeaten in each of their last four PL fixtures to close out the year (W2, D2).[/p]

[p]Players to watch: The popular Neto, who assisted the winner when these sides last met, returned to the Wolves bench against Brentford after a two-month absence with a hamstring injury. Everton’s Dwight McNeil has provided three assists across his past five PL games, as many as he did in the whole of the last league campaign. [/p]

[p]Hot stat: The last three H2Hs have produced a decisive goal beyond the 85th minute. [/p]
