Heracles Vitesse prediction 2024-02-10

Heracles vs Vitesse prediction: NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie betting tips on match 2024-02-09 20:00.
Heracles Almelo’s home crowd is craving a long overdue victory after their side collected just two points from their last six games at the Erve Asito. It’s fair to mention in their defence that, during that period, they were visited by four of the five current highest ranked sides of the competition. Prior to this round, they were four points above the relegation zone, but have a loose grip on their safety after conceding the most goals (48) of all teams prior to this round.

Their custodian Michael Brouwer had racked up the most saves of all Eredivisie goalkeepers (97), followed by Eloy Room (95), the goalkeeper of upcoming opponents Vitesse Arnhem. Heracles had also collected the most yellow cards of the competition (40), a record they shared with Fortuna Sittard. Vitesse, on the other hand, were one of four teams that already had three players sent off.

Vitesse had already suffered an embarrassing elimination from the KNVB Cup last week when losing 3-1 at SC Cambuur, but that’s far from the biggest concern for the club at the moment. The Arnhem side occupies the last place in this competition, have scored at least five fewer times than all other times in the competition (13) and has the worst goal difference (-29). In total, the club from Trolley City were trailing at the end of both halves in 11 separate league matches.

It is therefore far from inconceivable that they’ll be sent down to the second tier for the first time since 1980 and the question remains whether they would be able to overcome that financial blow. Before it comes to a head, they have here a crucial duel for survival against Heracles. After all, the home team is the first above the relegation zone, with a seven-point lead. In addition, Heracles are the only side that Vitesse managed to defeat this season without conceding a goal (1-0).

Players to watch: Heracles’ Jizz Hornkamp has been accurate in each of his last three games. Since his return to Vitesse, Eloy Room has not yet managed to keep his goal clean on foreign soil, even though he has already started ten away matches.

Hot streak: Vitesse conceded goals in all ten Eredivisie away matches this season, as did Heracles in each of their ten home fixtures!
