Burnley Arsenal prediction 2024-02-17

Burnley vs Arsenal prediction: ENGLAND: Premier League betting tips on match 2024-02-16 15:00.
[p]Another weekend, another Premier League defeat for Burnley who went down 3-1 against title-chasing Liverpool last weekend to stretch their winless league run to six matches (D2, L4). Things don’t get any easier here, with another title challenger next up in the form of Arsenal, and with boss Vincent Kompany banned from the touchline, their task here looks all the more challenging. [/p]

[p]Only against Chelsea (nine) have Burnley played out more winless home Premier League games than they have against Arsenal (P8 – D3, L5), and with the worst top-flight home record this season in tow (W1, D2, L9), Burnley are unlikely to be able stop the Gunners from recording another win. Considering the Clarets have conceded at least twice in nine of their home games this campaign, you’d be forgiven for thinking they’d be dreading Arsenal’s visit, but interestingly only one of the last nine H2Hs at Turf Moor saw Burnley concede more than once. [/p]

[p]After a 6-0 demolition of West Ham on Sunday, the Gunners will hope they haven’t used up all their goals in one afternoon. It was the first time they’d won an away league match by six goals since December 1935, and in a weekend where Manchester City and Liverpool both won against relegation battlers, it was a huge statement of intent for Arsenal to dismantle a European-chasing side away from home with consummate ease.  [/p]

[p]It’s now their turn to face a basement dweller, and it’s against sides like Burnley where Arsenal have excelled this season, winning all ten of their games so far this term against teams starting the round 13th or lower. You’d fully expect them to build on that at a ground they haven’t lost on in league action since 1973, with this interestingly their first Premier League away game to kick off at 3pm on a Saturday since September![/p]

[p]Players to watch: Burnley’s Wilson Odobert has been more of a creator than a finisher of late, but if he does score it will likely be a game opener, as that’s what all three of his Premier League goals have been. Another youngster still making an impression, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka became the youngest Gunners player to ever score 50 goals when he brought up his half-century against West Ham.[/p]

[p]Hot stat: Burnley have conceded a joint-league high 14 first-half home goals this season.[/p]
