With no wins from their last three league games (D1, L2), and just a five-point cushion above the relegation zone, 16th-placed Plymouth Argyle are starting to look anxiously over their shoulder as they host fifth-placed West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday evening. There’s no escaping the fact that since November West Brom have beaten only bottom-of-the-table Rotherham United on the road (D1, L4), so away fans could be excused for having modest expectations.
Players to watch: Morgan Whittaker has accumulated 13 goals at Home Park this season and is yet to lose a home match for Plymouth Argyle when he scores (W12, D4). John Swift has been involved in eight West Brom goals this season (G7, A1) with five of the last six coming in away fixtures including a goal at Ipswich in their last away match.
