AS Roma Feyenoord prediction 2024-02-22

AS Roma vs Feyenoord prediction: EUROPE: Europa League – Play Offs betting tips on match 2024-02-21 20:00.
Roma and Feyenoord have become very familiar with each other in recent years, with this season being the third straight campaign in which they’ve squared off. The Giallorossi came from behind to rescue a 1-1 draw at De Kuip in last week’s first leg, and as they’ve won their two previous UEFA knockout ties having drawn the first leg, they’re bound to be confident.

The second of those came against Leicester en route to Europa Conference League success in 2022, when they beat Feyenoord in the final! Now under the guidance of Daniele De Rossi, Roma will look to build on strong recent form against Dutch opposition having lost just three of 14 such meetings (W6, D5), and are boosted by beating Frosinone 3-0 at the weekend to make it one defeat from six under the new manager (W4, D1).

As Roma will be well aware by now, Feyenoord are no pushovers, and arrive in the Italian capital unbeaten in their last 11 matches across all competitions (W8, D3). While both of their last two European campaigns have been ended by Roma, the Dutch outfit have avoided defeat inside 90 minutes on both their previous away H2Hs, so this could be yet another closely-fought tie.

In order to record a famous triumph in the Eternal City though, Feyenoord will need to end a winless European away run of nine games (D3, L6) stretching back almost two years. That may seem a tall order, but Arne Slot’s men have incredibly scored in all but one of their last 29 away outings, although the only exception did come on this ground, as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at Roma’s rivals Lazio in November.

Players to watch: Roma centre-back Gianluca Mancini has been in the thick of the action of late, directly contributing to two goals while receiving two yellow cards in his last three matches (G1, A1). For the opposition, Igor PaixĂŁo should be looking forward to this fixture, having scored in both of the last two H2Hs.

Hot stat: Feyenoord haven’t conceded before half-time in any of their last eight games.
