Hull Leicester prediction 2024-03-09

Hull vs Leicester prediction: ENGLAND: Championship betting tips on match 2024-03-08 15:00.
[p]After 16 successive league games without a draw from late November to mid-February (W9, L7), play-off chasing Hull City have now shared a point in three successive games ahead of Saturday’s clash against leaders Leicester City. Facing the Foxes’ dangerous attack, Liam Rosenior’s side will need to try and maintain their strong defensive form which has seen no side breach their back line more than once in any of their last nine matches (W5, D3, L1).[/p]

[p]But Hull could do with being more clinical, particularly at home where they have not scored more than once in any of their last six games. This attacking flaw was further highlighted on Tuesday when the Tigers found the net just once from 22 shots while conceding an equaliser in the 82nd minute against Birmingham, leaving Rosenior to publicly lament a lack of “ruthlessness” post-game.[/p]

[p]On the same evening, Leicester manager Enzo Maresca described his team’s 1-0 win at Sunderland as a “very important victory” as it put an end to a run of three successive defeats which had threatened to derail their promotion push. Those three points meant the Foxes have now won 13 games on the road in this Championship season (D2, L3), the same amount as they’ve managed at home![/p]

[p]With only ten league games now remaining, all that matters is points on the board and getting over the line for Leicester as they close in on an immediate return to the top flight. However, it certainly won’t be easy for the Foxes who have won just one of their last five trips to Humberside (D1, L3) and are up against one of only three teams to have kept a clean sheet against them this season.[/p]

[p]Players to watch: Since joining on loan from Liverpool in January, Hull’s Fábio Carvalho has already scored against top-five opposition in Southampton and West Brom, with the Tigers yet to lose when he has found the net (W2, D1). Jamie Vardy returned to Leicester’s starting XI against Sunderland and celebrated with his sixth goal since late January. In his career, Hull are the side he’s faced the most (six) without ever scoring.[/p]

[p]Hot streak: Hull have not conceded first in any of their previous five matches.[/p]
